A haymaking course was done for the 25th time at ryghsetra near the town of drammen in norway. On saturday everyone could stay for a few hours, listening to two female performers singing and playing fiddle and banjo, watching a group of people mowing a meadow at the same time and socializing. Whilst sitting outside a starbucks in hollywood, ca, i took notice of a man talking/arguing to a half-empty bottle of coca-cola. What ensued was about 26 minutes of stream-of-consciousness homeless speak. Some of the more coherent passages were about gambling debts in reno, nv. I'm still wrestling with the morality of recording these kinds of things.

There is no compression or eq applied, and the file has a high dynamic range, so for many applications you may need to use some dynamics processing to reduce the dynamic range. I recorded a bird on the koh tao island in thailand. It makes some weird sounds and says "i love you". This was very quiet though and i had to make it louder which increased the ambient noises. The weird sounds are pretty clear. Used an rhode ixy and edited in logic.

Some noises of the restaurant can be heard in the background, very subdued, the quiet lapping of the east river can be heard in the foreground, and manhattan bustle and traffic on the fdr drive is in the wide range. It is a partly cloudy, windy day and a fair amount of people are at the beach, few are bathing. Some boats and ships pass by in the mid distance. The recorder is situated in a small wood some 40m or so from the shore, facing the beach and capturing a wide angle. Recorded with a zoom h2n. These are the rear channels of a 4ch surround recording. Douzens of frogs within a ditch at dusk end of may 2013, giving an evening concert. Recorded in moorende 25 km apart from hamburg. Fortunately and unusually nearly no wind during the recording and only one motorbike passing at the small road beneath - which i was able to cut off unnoticable.
